Locally inspired boutique opens shop in Gaborone
All roads lead to North Gate Mall in Gaborone this Friday for the official opening of the Boutique Concept Store which will predominantly offer local brands, proudly made by Batswana.
For a long time, Batswana have preferred clothes and all sorts of branding that came from across the world. However, the new Boutique store provides luxurious goods that will appeal to the public. What makes the store even more special is that most of the items in stock are made by young Batswana designers who have come up with the concept.
The new boutique provides numerous items including a make-up line, stylish clothing by different local designers, shoes, bags, jewellery and luxury watches. One of the partners of the boutique shop, Norah Mc Aslin, the owner of the popular Norah cream to powder foundation strictly made for black women said various talents made them to come up with such a unique concept, to promote Botswana talent.
“Young Batswana are talented and need support. If young Batswana can open a shop, it shows a lot about their talent, therefore all we need is to be supported by the government to keep growing and end up having such boutique across the country,” said Mc Aslin.
Each of the brand owners have an amazing story to tell about their products, and say the look forward to provide the Holly wood taste in Botswana, but not forgetting the essence of Botswana in their elegant products.
