International award for the late Lekaukau
The late former Permanent Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of BOCRA, the industrious Moses Cuthbert Lekaukau continues to receive international awards posthumously in recognition of the contribution he made to the development in both his country, continent and the world at large.
The latest honour was bestowed on Lekaukau by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) based in London. The Lifetime Achievement award is for his contribution as former Chairman of the CTO Council. It said that as Chairman, Lekaukau presided over the committee that drafted the current constitution of the CTO.
This is not the first award that Lekaukau was given. While still alive, CTO bestowed Lekaukau an honour as Chairman Emeritus or Chairman for Life. His son, Mothusi Lekaukau, accepted the award on behalf of his family from Secretary-General Shola Taylor late last month in London
