Gothaang's untimely death leaves a gaping hole at Gunners
The late Extension Gunners chairman Phenyo Gothaang who perished in a car accident over the weekend clearly left a gaping hole at the Peleng team
Gothaang is reported to have perished on his way to a Gunners game on Saturday. Gothaang’s untimely death comes at a time when he was working on reviving the fortunes of the BTC premiership-sleeping giants.
After taking over the team last years, Gothaang’s vision for Gunners was unravelling at a slow yet promising pace. The charismatic, charming and rhetorical football administrator brought in Lobatse based sports apparel company All Kasi to manage the affairs of Gunners.
At the time of his passing Gothaang was working on bringing an investor to partner with Gunners who command one of the largest support bases in domestic football.
One of Gothaang’s most recent high profile assignments saw him as a head of delegation when Township Rollers went to play CNaPS of Madagascar in a 2017 CAF champions league fixture at the Island nation.
