BGCSE results continue to disappoint
Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) today released the 2016 Botswana General Certificate for Secondary Education (BGCSE) examination results, which shows a slight improvement of 0.92 percent compared to the 2015 BGCSE results.
Out of a total number of 35 465 candidates from last year, only 6368, which is 25 percent of the students achieved grade C or better to last year’s 24.4 percent.
Candidates can access the results through the BEC website or through SMS via a mobile phones, by sending the center number, (candidate) number and (candidate) surname with spaces in between to 16688.
Furthermore, candidates are informed that statement of results can be collected at designated locations across the country from February 20th until March 3rd during working hours.
These locations include candidates’ respective schools, for all government and private school candidates, while individual private candidates may check Botswana College of Distance and Open Learning (BOCODOL) in various places.
