African Presidents to grace TEF forum in July

Forty-four privileged local entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to closely engage with President of Rwanda Paul Kagame and President of Senegal Macky Sall at the anticipated Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurial Forum (TEF) on July 26 and 27 in Abuja, Nigeria. The two dignitaries, together with TEF founder, Tony Elumelo will be key speakers at the forum. Of the 44 entrepreneurs, 20 will directly benefit from this year’s 5th cycle of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme and 24 will be supported by the Foundation’s partner, African Development Bank (AfDB) and will also engage and interact with Africa’s kingpin of youth entrepreneurship, Founder and Chairman of Heirs Holdings and United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu. The event provides a unique opportunity for young women and men, from all 54 African countries, to meet, learn and network with the broader African and global entrepreneurship ecosystem. Those from Botswana have been drawn from various sectors including; Agriculture, ICT, Manufacturing, Tourism and Hospitality, Energy and Power Generation, Financial Services, Fashion, Education and Training, Construction, Consulting and Transportation. According to the Foundation, the forum is also a critical opportunity for political leaders and policymakers to meet, face to face, a new generation of African business leaders, who are transforming Africa’s economic trajectory. The Forum agenda includes masterclasses and panel discussions with leading speakers and sector experts, from Africa and globally, who will engage attendees in specialised training sessions to share insights, deepen their knowledge and refine their skills. The Forum will also feature a pitching event, where select entrepreneurs will deliver exciting presentations on the goods and services they provide to a distinguished judging panel.
