On man’s greatest weakness…

Tla ke lo tlotlele. There was this other gent who one evening went out to a bar, where he bumped into a young lady he had been eyeing for a while. He offered to buy her drinks. In between sips of the golden waters, he developed Dutch confidence and successfully coerced her into spending a night with him. He salivated as he kept peering at his conquest’s jiggly buttocks and watermelon boobs bouncing freely begging to be squeezed. He perhaps imagined that she must be sweeter than a peach. They later went home together as agreed for a roll in the hay. The man was enveloped by lust so much that all he could think about was the warmth that awaited him. By the time the lady began to undress, he was hot and bothered; his groin was on fire and his heart was beating furiously. When she pulled down her knickers, the gent was so excitable that he apparently started revealing family secrets. Gatwe ke fa a re: “Waitse baby, kana malome o utswa dikgomo. Maloba ke fa a ile go utswa ko ga Dibeko ka kwa. Gompieno ne a re ke mo pate a ye go tsaya koo rra Kgamanyane. Waitse malome ene o tla tshwarwa…” There is no doubt that his mind was not working properly and he had developed verbal diarrhoea. Such is the weakness of a man. Flesh. Coital pleasure disarms them. Some men are known to reveal the deepest and darkest secrets when they are floundering in the throngs of intimacy. Once a man surrenders to intimacy and gives in to feminine wiles, he is truly finished! Throughout history to date, the downfall of most men has involved a woman; from ordinary men, to the famous including Tiger Woods, R Kelly, Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton etc. Even Biblically, we know the story of Samson, who was supposedly betrayed by a woman, Delilah, sent by his foes. During war, it is often women who are assigned as secret agents and informants. I thought about this recently following the recent social brouhaha about our dear cousin Prince Harry. Yes, I refer to him as our Botswana cousin – and I write this with a sarcastic smirk on my face. Anyways, he joins the never-ending long list of men who have seemingly been conquered and controlled by a woman. His decision to emancipate from the Royal house has surely set tongues wagging because it is as if he has given them the middle finger. It is evident that they don’t see eye to eye but still, whatever tiffs they might have, they are the only family he has. There is no doubt his wife had an influence on this decision. She has nothing to lose. It is clear that his wife does not hold family ties in high regard – after all she comes from a broken family. She is also older than him, and a divorcee. That is telling enough. But she sure has a strong hold over him. Fa e ka be e le Batswana nkabe gotwe o mo jesitse. I bet he unravelled all the family skeletons in the closet during pillow talk, giving her enough ammunition to disregard his family at the snap of a finger. Some women control them with their feminine wiles. Jezebels. There are women with the ability to bring men to their knees, and are so influential and powerful that you would wonder what hold they have on men. A man can seem smart but when it comes to a woman, he becomes foolish. Let’s blame the forbidden fruit. Khi!
