Women entrepreneurs discuss business networking strategies

Young Entrepreneurs Founder Moanamisi Gadiile believes that entrepreneurs are change makers who don’t love money but love learning and being able to sustain themselves.

Gadiile was sharing his experience during an entrepreneurship interaction session on International Women’ Day. He said entrepreneurs are brave because they accept failure not as an end to their journey but as a learning curve.

With a future that looks bleak characterised by high rates of unemployment, there is demand for entrepreneurs to save the economy. He described Young Entrepreneurs as an organ to teach young people about entrepreneurship and the good habit of saving money.Another participant, Dr Puswane Katse said health can be a business as it is a service.

In fact, she intends to open an institution for children called Little Medics to empower the little ones with knowledge on first aid given that many accidents happen in playgrounds. She also mentioned the importance of good leadership in a business to foster trust in one’s workers so that in one’s absence the business does not halt to a standstill.

Networking is also critical as a good foundation of a business as it allows one to know and build one’s clientele and learn how to constantly improve one’s services.Konopo Labour Law Consultancy Founder Rethabile Konopo said the event was an interactive session that allowed for informal networking amongst participants. “We intend to have sessions such as these on a regular basis for aspiring and established entrepreneurs,” she said.
