StanChart ATMs dispenses US dollars

Standard Chartered Bank Botswana Limited has rolled out US dollar dispensing ATMs in some locations across Botswana, a necessary step which will further augment the convenience offered to customers through its digital banking platforms. According to the bank, Airport Junction Mall Branch (Gaborone) and Francistown Branch (Francistown) ATMs are already dispensing US Dollar, with a third location to be added in the following month. Head of Digital, Malebogo Mmeseletsi highlighted that the bank continues to offer innovative solutions to address the needs of its clients, “The banking landscape is increasingly dynamic, customers require services that fit to their lifestyles, and banking is no different. As a Bank, we want our customers to never feel that having to do their normal banking is an inconvenience. We are continually looking to roll out those products and services that take as little time away from your day as possible, whilst solving your needs.” The US Dollar dispensing ATMs work just as any other ATM, when the customer inserts their Standard Chartered debit card and enters their PIN code, amongst the regular ATM services that they are accustomed to, will be an option for US Dollar withdrawals. Once an amount has been selected, the customer will receive US Dollars in cash and the Botswana Pula equivalent debited from their account. Customers are allowed to withdraw a minimum of USD 20 and can take a maximum amount in line with their daily card limit. The new foreign currency ATMs join the Bank’s existing series of South African Rand dispensing ATMs currently in Jwaneng, Lobatse, Selebi-Phikwe, Francistown (Nzano Mall), Gaborone (Game City Branch, Mall Branch, Industrial Branch, Hemamo Branch, Sir Seretse Khama International Airport). Customers can use the “ATMs and Branches” section of the Bank’s website to confirm the location of foreign currency dispensing ATMs.
