Lucara discovers large diamond

On the heels of announcing the recovery of the world’s second-largest diamond, Canadian miner Lucara Diamond Corp, last week revealed that it had recovered another two large diamonds, including an 813 ct stone, from its flagship Karowe mine, in Botswana.

“I am truly at a loss for words. This has been an amazing week for Lucara with the recovery of the second largest and also the sixth-largest gem-quality diamonds ever mined. We are truly blessed by this amazing asset,” president and CEO William Lamb commented.
