Business Journal to inspire local industries

A new publication, Business Journal, is expected to change the local business industry landscape. The journal which will be published monthly is to document inspiring industry growth stories and share key insights from several economic categories in Business in Botswana.

Speaking at the launch last week, Executive Director Thapelo Letsholo said they wanted to provide something to bring people and businesses together and to act as a catalyst for Botswana’s extraordinary talent to share and grow together. “When we first came up with the concept of the Business Journal, we wanted to play a small but hopefully important part in building that ecosystem and community,” said Letsholo.

The publication is to highlight business opportunities locally and globally and over and above, position Botswana as one of the most attractive tourism and investor friendly destinations in the world.

He explained that, the Journal carries special edition features on various industries, market analytics, top 20 companies’ lists and major events and that he hopes for the Business Journal to be where business leaders turn to, for vital information on new business opportunities relevant to the growth of Botswana.

Stanbic Bank Botswana Chief executive appealed to the industry leaders to support the publication by providing information. “Let us all give this journal good stories to fill its pages and sell our company Botswana. The world must know that Botswana Inc. wants to command a respectable space in the global arena. We will however, not achieve any of this if we work against one another and lack a common vision and goal,” said Leina Gabaraane.
