Crax Business Services out to help youth
For Helderberg College graduate Mphoentle Khumalo venturing into business only made sense as she has always had the passion to do so.
As an accountant, she decided to venture into business consultancy and in 2009 her company Crax Business Services commenced operations. Currently she has two employees, an accountant and a computer technician. Khumalo saw a gap in people’s lack of business skills and the confusion people have that having financial muscle translates to ability to operate a business.
She cites beneficiaries of the Youth Grant as examples of people that need business skills to manage their funds. The rising rates of youth unemployment also build a case for the need for her services. “Our biggest challenge is that entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs are interested in attending the courses but the only problem is that they cannot afford the tuition fees.
Crax target market includes youth funded individuals, people close to retirement, entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. Their certificate courses take a week while record keeping takes two days Crax Business Services is accredited to Botswana Qualifications Authority.
