Murder suspect on the loose

Tatitown police are investigating the murder of a 20-year old man who was killed in Marobela village on Saturday after a drinking spree.

Tatitown Station Commander Senior Superintendent Cyprian Magalila said the matter was reported at around 11pm on Saturday. Magalila said there was a heated quarrel between the deceased and the accused which ended in a fight in which the deceased sustained some injuries.

The deceased was rushed to Sebina clinic where he was transferred to Nyangabgwe hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival. “We suspect a sharp object was used,” the police chief said.

The names of the deceased are withheld until relatives are informed. Magalila said the suspect is still on the loose. He said this is the second murder case recorded in Marobela since the beginning of this year and the fourth murder case recorded in his policing station since the year commenced.
