Thugs assault woman answering call of nature

Gobonyemang Phiri of Radisele was brutally beaten by criminals in Tsolamosese while driving from Oodi Farm with her boyfriend to their home around 2am this past Sunday. She told The Midweek Sun that she needed to relieve herself and decided to take advantage of the nearest bush she could spot.

His boyfriend stopped their car near some bushes on the road into Tsolamosese to allow her to relieve herself. However, before she could even unzip her pants, four men dressed in black emerged from nowhere in a VW GTI car and assaulted her. She says the men beat her so hard she almost lost consciousness while her boyfriend had a knife put to his throat by another thug.

“I was confused, I did not know what was happening or what they wanted; it all happened so fast,” Phiri recalled. Luckily a car came their way and the thugs fled and got into their silver GTI with no number plates. She is currently heavily bandaged on both legs and has bruises on her lower back. She claims that she reported the incident at Mogoditshane Police Station but at press time Mogoditshane Station Commander Agreement Mapeu said he was not in a position to confirm if the case was reported at his station.
