Mystery murder rocks Matsiloje village
Matsiloje residents are still shocked by the death of a 24-year old man on September 29 who died from stab wounds at the same bar where his late father was shot to death by armed robbers in 2013. Residents interviewed by The Midweek Sun said the whole incident resembles an act of witchcraft or curse on the victims. They said by the look of things, the recent incident cannot be a coincidence since the young man did not deserve to have been murdered. Matsiloje Police Station Commander Superintendent Obert Manji confirmed the incident.
According to evidence brought before the police, the young man met his fate on 29th of September 2017 at one of the village bars. “It was reported that a young Motswana man of 24 years was engaged in an argument with a foreign national upon which they engaged in a fight during which the young man was stabbed to death with a sharp instrument. “Following the incident, a mob assaulted the accused person and injured him in the process and he is admitted at Nyangabgwe Hospital waiting to be tried for murder,” Manji said. He advised residents harbouring illegal immigrants to desist from such acts as the law will take its course in the event one is arrested.
