Horror road accident claims six lives

At least six   people have been certified dead after a road traffic accident involving a double -decker passenger bus and a Toyota Fortuner along the A1   road earlier today (Thursday).

According to a statement from the Botswana Police Service (BPS), the fatal accident occurred near Ditladi lands between Mosaditshwene and Artesia at around 11:00am.

'In the meantime, the   injured from both vehicles have been rushed to Deborah Retief hospital in Mochudi and Gaborone hospitals with serious and minor injuries,' a statement from the BPS   reads.

In addition, preliminary investigations indicate that the Toyota was travelling towards the northern city of Francistown while the bus was headed towards Gaborone. Police investigations to establish the cause of the accident and the number of passengers involved are still underway.
