Miss Botswana pageant draws near

The   count down to the   2016 Miss Botswana pageant is well under way following   months   of preparations. The build up to the glamorous event included auditions and a subsequent boot camp for the Top 39 contestants.

A statement from government said the final top 12   of the competition will take to the stage on 29th July to compete for the most coveted beauty pageant prize in the land. “Under the watchful eye of a select panel of judges drawn from the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC), Botswana Council of Women and representation from the private sector,” a press release from the MYSC   states.

“The finale promises to be a spectacular affair as the organizers have pulled all stops   to ensure the experience will be forever etched in the minds of Batswana.” Moreover, the Botswana Council of Women is expected to confer the Miss Botswana title to its 50th queen this year.

The event will be held under the theme Our Diamond, Our Pride.
