TAFIC redeems itself
BTC Premiership returnee Tafic Sporting Club faced their earliest trial of the season when they lost by a thin margin of 2-1 to defending Champions Township Rollers this past weekend. However the Francistown based club managed to reedem itself last night when they defeated Tlokweng based Security Systems 2-1. During the weekend encounter against Rollers, Tafic was expected to cause an upset and fit the shoes of last season’s rookies Black Forest and Security Systems but that was never the case.
The team’s performance was below par with no experienced players in the team. Machimenyenga was one of the mute clubs in the transfer window and the effects are gaining shape and visibility as the team did not match up the pace of Popa. However the interim Tafic coach Elias Chinyemba has a grim and arduous first round task with coach Maxwell Moyo still awaiting the completion of his work permit papers. Chinyemba will have to lead the team into an auspicious spot before Moyo takes over. In a recent interview Chinyemba said his team endured stage fright and promised a fierce comeback “the stage seemed big for the boys, we got a very strong team and I believe we will leave a lot of teams bleeding through their noses, we will have a very good season,” he declared.
