Former TAFIC coach job hunting
BY PETER MADIYA Former TAFIC FC head coach Elias Chinyemba this week confirmed that he will not be taking the reigns at Debswana National First Division rookies Calendar Stars. Chinyemba who orchastrated TAFIC’s heroic return to the BTC Premiers league this week confirmed that there is no deal between him and Calender Stars. The coach who unceremoneously parted ways with TAFIC last year said he only managed to train with the team for two days before the deal collapsed. “I was supposed to land a job as the head coach for the DNFD rookies.
I was approached by one of the team top personnel (names withheld) who promised to pay for all my expenses including accommodation but after a short while the person who recruited me was nowhere to be found in the picture hence my decision to leave the team only after two days training,” Chinyemba said in an interview. “I am currently looking for a team to coach in the DNFD league to improve my ratings as a coach, “he said.Chinyemba coached TAFIC whilst they were still struggling at the dusty DNFD until they were promoted.Chinyemba continued coaching the TAFIC until he was replaced by head coach Maxwell Moyo.Chinyemba is allegedly underqualified to coach in the most senior league locally.
