Sechele targets elusive pro-card

Local bodybuilding sensation Gontse Sechele is expected to compete at the W.F.F Pretoria Classic body building competition in South Africa this weekend.

The ripped and chiselled bodybuilding athlete continues in his quest to acquire the elusive pro-card that will see him earning great rewards from his beloved sport. Sechele said he expects to compete on either Super or the Extreme body (over 90 kg) category with some of the best bodybuilders in the continent. In an interview this week, Sechele who is currently making final preparations in South Africa said the weekend event will be a qualifier for the world champions scheduled for Singapore in Asia later this year.

I have to secure first position if in order to qualify for a pro card during the event. “Once I acquire a pro-card, I will be recognized as a professional and become more marketable. The pro card is my passport to bigger and better things in the sport. Ahead of the eagerly anticipated bodybuilding spectacle, Sechele said he is working on overall body conditioning.

In recent years, Sechele’s ripped and statuesque physique has won him numerous awards including Mr Botswana (2009, 2011, 2012). In 2014, Sechele came 3rd overall in the lightweight division at the GNC Pump Mr Universe Contest in Seoul, South Korea. He managed to secure 4th in Dublin, Ireland and another 4th place during the National Amateur Body Building Association (NABBA) World Fitness Federation Championships held in Cyprus.
