FC, the spoiler is back

The race for the 2015/16 beMOBILE Premiership  green  boot just got a lot more exciting after prolific Mochudi Centre  Chiefs striker Lemponye’ FC’ Tshireletso joined two other contenders at the summit of the top goal scorer charts.

After scoring his 12th goal of the season against Gaborone United this past weekend, the evergreen Tshireletso is now tied with Moatlhodi Ralesotla of Gaborone United and Thabang Sesinyi of Orapa United at the top spot. The three strikers are now on equal points with only nine games to spare before the end of the current season.

Moreover, it was the ambitious Sesinyi who caught up with the injury plagued Ralesotla early this month before a marauding Tshireletso came rallying from behind. The more experienced Tshireletso has been scoring consistently for Magosi while helping to put Maaparankwe back in   contention for the 2015/16 league title.

With Tshireletso now leading the charged Magosi, the Kgatleng giants are perched at position three, trailing only five points behind log leaders Township Rollers and only three points behind second-placed Orapa United.

In an interview, the former BDF XI striker who has entrenched himself as a real threat for the lucrative green boot said, “We do not have pressure to score goals in the team, everyone is capable of scoring goals at Magosi.” Tshireletso added  that Magosi do not have pressure to  score goals even after losing influential striker Keaketswe ‘Mara’ Moloi  who  has  been  linked  to  rivals, Extension Gunners.

As  Magosi hurtle towards the 2015/16 title, Tshireletso said the Kgatleng outfit coached by Mike Sithole was in a healthy position to challenge the top two teams.

“Everyone counted us out early in the season. Currently we are in the same position we occupied last year before we finally won the championship” said the modest player as he downplayed his chances of clinching the green boot.
