Ga-Maila Festive Meltdown will pack fun

The second edition of the Ga-Maila festival is returning with a scintillating concept for those who will be in the southern part of the country over the festive season.

The event, a concept of none other than DJ Sly aka Slyvester Ntshinogang and his pals are bringing back a bigger and value for money event dubbed the Ga-Maila Festive Meltdown this December.

The main event will take place on December 31st at Motse Lodge and is promising revellers an untold tale of fun, music and dance throughout the night. On January 1st, those who wish to continue celebrating the New Year will get an opportunity to do so via the Vision 2016 Welcome Bash at the same venue.

For the main event, revellers can look forward to performances from the likes of Vee, MMP Family, Gongmaster, Slizer, BK Proctor, DJ Ricky Lamar, NT Base as well as Shaboo. Pre-sold tickets are on sale for P100, while one can get for P150 at the gate.

The line-up for the welcome bash comprises of HHP, Sasa Klaas, Amanandos, DJ Oak, Kaylo, Techlo, Polyster, Nokwazi, African Roots and Beat Movement. According to one of the organisers, Gaolathe Kediemetse the January 1st event is meant to entertain those who normally have no place to go on the day.

Organisers have also indicated that this time around they increased the number of local acts. He said they were receiving a lot of calls from artists in Kanye and surrounding areas who wish to be part of the event.

Unfortunately, he said this was impossible as they could only take a certain number of artists. He also promised that they would host a workshop for artists in the area.
