Botswana Life provides P5.5m for NYWC

Local insurance company Botswana Life can now count themselves among proud sponsors of the 2017 Netball Youth World Cup. This week the company announced a P5 580 000 sponsorship that will go towards the eagerly anticipated netball showpiece scheduled for Gaborone this weekend.

Speaking at the Sponsorship Launch on Tuesday, Botswana Life Chief Executive Officer Bilkiss Moorad said her company is proud of being part of the games and contributing to the development of sports in the country.

“Being part of these games marks a huge milestone in our rich sporting history in Botswana. When BONA approached us with the request to be the insurance sponsor of the netball national team for this world cup we were thrilled and honoured as this is a once in a life time opportunity.” In addition Moraad applauded BONA for their dedication and discovering buried treasure in the young girls who form part of the team.

“BONA has made a point to develop young talent and they have basically put our country on the world map.” With the NWYC just three days away, hype for the games is at its peak. The slogan ‘#Rea ba tsaa’ has captured the nation along with the games mascot Naletsana.
