Berry Heart and Nana Kwaku collaborate on a single
Berry Heart is over the moon over the collaboration
Diva Vebrok insists that there are no hard feelings
Berry Heart’s recent collaboration with the controversial and apparently rich Ghanaian traditional healer, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has set tongues wagging. Many critics have wondered why he did not collaborate with Diva Vebrok, who he was once romantically linked to. Berry Heart and Diva Vebrok are alleged to be bosom buddies but when Berry Heart unveiled the single track, The Bible, which features Bonsam last week, some people felt that she had snatched Vebrok’s “blesser” from under her nose. By the weekend, social media was in overdrive and abuzz after Berry Heart posted about the development.
One Facebook user wrote: “Gatwe ebile go lebega o phamoletse Vebrok Brooks… (sic),” while another wrote: “Nana Kwaku is a Devil himself”.rReliable sources close to the two shared with Vibe that the two friends have not been seen together for a while, sparking suspicions that they had a fall out. Said the source: “I suspect that the blesser is the reason why the two have been apart. At first we knew that Berry Heart was always with Vebrok but all of a sudden we never see them together and Nana Kwaku collaborates with Berry Heart. Something might have transpired… after all girls are tricky.'
Diva Vebrok however refuted claims that Berry Heart “stole” her man. She stated that Bonsam is not her man and said that she helped Berry Heart with her plans to go to Ghana. “I helped her with this collaboration, from applying for a Visa and I therefore do not understand why some people went to the extent of sending me inbox messages that Berry Heart is taking my man. I know everything about the recording,” she said. She also said that she did not hang out with Berry Heart as often as before because she (Diva Vebrok) now runs a restaurant and bar in Molepolole.
When queried on why she did not collaborate with Bonsam, she responded that she did not want to. Meanwhile, Berry Heart appears to be happy with the collaboration, which comes hot on the heels of the release of her single, Dipalameletse. She referred to the song, The Bible, as an exclusive single on her Facebook page. “Xclusive single from Nana Kwaku Bonsam titled “THE BIBLE” ft Berry Heart (from Botswana) & Chao Kin ... watch out!!! Nana Kwaku Bonsam,” she wrote. A few other posts indicate that she is having the time of her life in Ghana; she praises the food and indicates that Ghanaians are good people. Vibe saw the sleeve for the single and was not impressed because it is not visually appealing, and we can only hope that the much talked about song makes up for it. Efforts to solicit a comment from Berry Heart hit a snag as she was still in Ghana this week and her mobile number did not go through.
