Taola's hit song on SABC channels

It was a classic case of opportunity meeting preparation when Thato Chuma of the local duo Taola responded to DJ Fresh’s call on a show he hosts on SABC 3 called Club Culture.

DJ Fresh had asked people to submit their songs so that SABC could produce a video of that song at its own costs. Chuma immediately decided to submit their song, ‘wings of love.’ Much to her amazement and surprise, the song was selected and last week, the duo went to Johannesburg to record the video.

The promotional video for the video was shown on SABC 3 on the 4th of February 2016 and the actual video premiered on Club Culture on the 5th February. However all the proprietary rights of the video belong to SABC and they can play it in all the SABC channels.

Responses from people in social media after viewing the promotional video have been very positive. Chuma herself is excited that such an opportunity presented itself and that they were chosen among the lot that submitted their songs.

This year they plan to make a lot of shows to expose their music to all and sundry. Their sound is a fusion which incorporates different genres of music. The other member of the duo is Bonolo ‘bnote’Mogotsi.
