Comedy and poetry Valentines' Day treat for Ftown

Francistown Diggers In Hotel will be the place to be this coming Valentine’s Day as a lineup of poets and comedians will battle it out for the bragging rights of the city at a candle light event.

Speaking to Vibe in an exclusive interview, comedian Bhova who is garnering popularity with his ribcracking comedy revealed that the night will be a fun filled night since the organisers have roped in most of the sought after comedians in the city including Desire Itani and Induna. Bhova noted that they have received warm reception for their craft.

“Since I started with comedy, I have realised that a lot of people in the city appreciate our work and are eager to support us through attending our shows. This special show is an opportunity for lovers and friends to celebrate Vday in a different yet fun way,” he said.

Itani is not new in the game as he has over the years performed alongside comedians including Rib Cracker and many others, having horned his skills during the presidential competitions. Other comedians for the night includes Kabo Keitheng, Augustos Phillimon and Nkapole. Keitheng was last year’s winner of the presidential awards competition.

To add variety to the show, Francistown’s popular poetry group Poetic Omnibus will also be present to mesmerise revelers with their poetic genius. The show which is slated for Valentine’s Day will kick start at 6.30pm. Tickets go for P50 single and P80 for a double ticket.
