Honey Worship Tour takes praise and worship to new heights

Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church graced the Stanbic Bank Piazza, through the gospel concert dubbed ‘Honey Worship Tour’.

Honey Worship Tour is an initiative with an endeavour to tour around all African countries, through praise and worship, exchange culture and also embark on social responsibility activities across all the African countries.

The first leg of the concert started in Botswana and the show attracted gospel lovers who thronged the piazza and were left eating from the palm of the hands of the artists, who serenaded them throughout the day and evening.

The Major 1 Trio, who will grace all the concerts, impressed a lot of people with their praise filled songs. The Trio that comes from ECG, Pretoria consists of Innocent Mumba, Richard Wills and James Nee. Local artists including Astly Gops, Onah and Busi also had a chance to share the stage with these artists, to make the day even more enjoyable. The proceeds from this event were contributed to Gamodubu Orphanage Centre.

One of the directors of the show from EGC Botswana, Obert Pelotshweu, noted that they were indeed impressed by the turn up at the event as it positions them in a better place to accomplish their mission to give a helping hand to Gamodubu Orphanage Centre.

“Our plan is to buy food for these young people as well as provide them with financial assistance to help them meet their daily needs. We appreciate helping those who are in need because it is the only way we can make our continent a better place and it is what the Lord expects of us as his children,” he said. Pelotshweu explained that the concert was not only meant to provide entertainment only but also for teaching the word of gospel to the people. “The concert was not only aimed at providing entertainment to individuals embarking on a spiritual journey to enlightenment but a variety of individuals’ hunger for spiritual edification,” he said.

Pelotshweu also acknowledged that although their spiritual father Prophet Major 1 Shepherd Bushiri could not make it to the event as he was in India, the locals really supported them in an amazing way. The tour is expected to end with a grand finale at the annual cross over event on December 31st 2017 at the FNB stadium in South Africa. The next tour will be in Tanzania.
