Ndingo, Maxy and Vee headline Botswana
National Day activities at Expo2020 DubaiBotswana has lined up a host of top-performing local artistes from across music genres to celebrate the Botswana National Day on the 13 th of March 2022 at the Expo2020Dubai.
The National Day official ceremony on the morning of Sunday 13 th March starts at Al Wasi Plaza while entertainment, food tasting and cultural showcases, including music and dance will continue at the Botswana Pavilion from 10am until 8 pm.
Among the celebrated artistes poised to perform at the global spectacle that has converged over 190 countries in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is Jazz maestro, Ndingo Johwa, the pint-sized Kwaito star, Vee Mampeezy and the woman of song, Maxy.
Director, Brand Management at Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), Thuso Palai told journalists late Wednesday in Dubai that an ensemble of traditional troupes and folk artistes will also showcase Botswana’s culture in its diversity during the Botswana National Day Cultural Parade on Sunday at the Four Seasons Jumeriah.
The Botswana cuisine experience will take place at the Culinary Pod, Farrago Restaurant at the Expo2020Dubai. Other performers are lined up to spice the ‘Music in the Garden Cultural performance’ on Sunday afternoon as well as the ‘Botswana Cultural Night’ in the evening of the same day.
The Botswana delegation at the Expo2020Dubai national day activities will be led by the President, Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi and will comprise of Ministers, senior government officials, private sector as well as performing artists from Botswana.
