VOLLEYBALLGaborone based Kutlwano Volleyball team are busy preparing for the upcoming Zone six club championships scheduled for Durban, South Africa in December. The Big House as Kutlwano are affectionately known received a major boost from their Sponsors Exclusive Insurance Solutions at a glitzy launch in Gaborone this week.In an interview this week, club spokesperson Tjiyapo Madeluka said the popular team will be going all out to win the championship title this year.

“We want to win both the men and ladies side and rewrite the history books. We won the championship in 2011 and we intend to do that again this year,” said the confident Madeluka.The Big House are one of the dominating clubs locally and they intend to bring their glory days back.

Madeluka also added that the sponsorship deal from their long- term sponsor Exclusive Insurance Solutions came at the right time when they are preparing for the championships games. The P250 000 sponsorship is expected to go towards the team’s daily operations in a two -year deal. The deal includes purchase of the team merchandise.“The sponsorship could not have come at the right time, this means players will have no excuse and perform to the best of their ability.

The new kit will boost Kutlwano’s confidence and we will be hitting the ball hard once in Durban,” he said.When speaking at the sponsorship launch, the Chairperson of the club Solvin Sekalaba said that throughout the years, Kutlwano have been amongst the top performing teams locally. “We are constantly in the top three, we are never just participants during tournaments,” he said.

Moreover, Kutlwano have seen some of their players being Tebogo Sejewe, Tracy Chaba and Karabo Molefhe play for international clubs across the world. The team also boasts of an alumnus of ladies and men who played in the national team for years. Sekalaba expressed confidence in that they have the right quality to win the 2018 Zone Six title.
