A 22-year-old man committed suicide in Kasane on Monday evening using an electric cable and left behind a haunting suicide note.

Confirming the incident, Acting Kasane Police Station Commander, Othusitse Marape said they received a report that a man had committed suicide at New Town ward in Kasane.

Marape told The Midweek Sun that the deceased's 22-year-old friend had gone to the deceased's house to check up on him.

Upon arrival, he knocked on the doors and windows but there was no response. When he peeped through the keyhole, he discovered with shock, his friend hanging from the rafters.

Marape said the friend called the landlord and other neighbours to help him. Shortly, police arrived and broke down the door and pulled down the young man, who was certified dead at Kasane Primary Hospital.

He left a written note which read: 'For the pain I have every day. Ke kopa dilo tsame le di neele nnake Samson please. Salang sentle all my family, my father and mother. Ke batla go bona bodulo jo bo siameng. Thank you.

Password ya laptop is superage. Goodbye my mum. I love you mum, le bo nnake bye bye.'

The deceased hails from Nkange.

Marape urged members of the public especially the youth to open up whenever they encounter problems in life because social workers are available to assist.
