International brand, Numa Skin has this past weekend collaborated with Medi-Glow Aesthethics to launch Numa skin care product line in Botswana. Founder of Numa Skin, Dr Lungile Mhlongo admitted that skin care requires a routine and good products. Her brand has become synonymous with cutting-edge skincare technology and a commitment to enhancing skin health.

Therefore, their flagship line epitomizes the fusion of scientific expertise and artisanal craftsmanship, delivering premium medical-grade skincare products. Like most of the skin care products developers, Dr Mhlongo noted that her problematic skin condition back then inspired her to become a doctor.

Not only her deteriorating skin condition that led her to depression, caused her to find a solution. She further said that, her journey of humble beginnings and being the 10th child in her family, as well as the loss of her father, inspired her to become a medical doctor.

She shared that, his father was not able to receive proper care due to a shortage of Medical doctors in South Africa, and she knew she had to do something. Later on as she was practicing as a doctor, she developed acne during a depressive episode which impacted her confidence.

She never looked back but became inspired to create her own skin care line. She emphasized that, this is when her Numa products were born. When she crossed paths with the owner of Medi-Glow Aesthetics, Dr. Wedu Somolekae last year at Forbes Africa 30 under 30, the two doctors agreed that they share something in common. They initiated discussions into expanding the Numa Skin flagship into Botswana through Medi-Glow. The two has therefore launched a skin care line including; Facial cleanser, a soothing serum, brightening serum, pigmentation correction cream, sunscreen and a purifying masque. Dr Somolekae said that they are excited to be launching these products and assured to maintain their quality brand game through the products.

“I am delighted to introduce Numa Skin to Botswana through Medi-Glow Aesthetics. The brand's commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our vision at Medi-Glow, and we are confident that our clients will experience a new era of skincare with Numa Skin's premium products,” she said. Dr Mhlongo further said that expanding the brand's footprint to Botswana means a lot to her and sure to put smiles on people’s faces through her brand.' At Numa Skin, we believe in the power of radiant, healthy skin.

Our journey into Botswana is an exciting chapter as we strive to empower individuals to embrace their beauty confidently. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Wedu Somolekae to the Numa Family and bring Numa Skin's transformative products to the beauty enthusiasts of Botswana,” she said. Numa Skin's vision is to actually empower individuals to embrace their natural beauty. This collaboration since represents a synergy of expertise, where Medi- Glow Aesthetics becomes the exclusive destination for Numa Skin in Botswana.

She guaranteed that, the product is a unique perspective on the journey towards optimal skin health. Dr Somolekae said that welcoming this product is one of her best achievements by far. She recalled how Medi Glow Aesthetics started from just a dream in her heart, working as a Medical Officer in Masunga. Currently, she occupies a large office space with over 1000+ clients.

She said her passion for aesthetics carried her through and it is her resilience and determination that led to her to receiving various awards such as becoming the first Motswana woman to be listed in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 list as well as gracing the cover of the Forbes Africa magazine. She is happy to work along another young woman in the aesthetics world, who is an international go-getter. Dr. Lu Mhlongo, as she is affectionately known, is a distinguished medical professional and entrepreneur, who has garnered numerous accolades, including, Africa Forty under Forty and recognized among Africa's top achievers under forty; Best Skincare Brand, Acknowledged by the Top 50 Most Industrious Women in Africa; 100 Most Influential Young Africans, highlighting her impactful leadership across the continent.
