Love them or hate them, you can't ignore politics

I know most folk out there hold politics, and especially politicians, in utter contempt. Mostly deserved. This is self-inflicted because politicians have failed you. Misconduct, lies and disregard for order or excellence from and by politicians is responsible for eliciting such emotions and attitudes from people.

It remains politicians too, who are directly responsible for voter apathy. THE ELECTORATE IS FED WITH LIES, STEALING and UNKEPT PROMISES. THE ELECTORATE IS FED BY BEING LED BY LESS THAN SUITABLE LEADERS.

I have friends and family members who are bold and some not as bold to say “to hell with politics, le tshwana hela. I won’t even register to vote!” Some are strong armed into registering and conciliate, but don’t actually go on to cast their votes during elections. That said, I wish to challenge us all, especially those who’ve been disappointed by politics and politicians to reconsider. It isn’t true that all politicians are the same. It is for you to choose the capable, honest and capable. Ba teng even if it looks like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Today hearts are with Russian professionals of all sorts, entrepreneurs, religious organizations etc. See, if you’re as disgusted, angry and now indifferent about politics, you’d realize “o ikepela lemena.

Russian sports persons are now barred from enjoying and trading in their profession abilities: THEY CAN’T EARN THEIR LIVELIHOODS because of politics, politicians and political decisions made to invade Ukraine. With us, it could be brazen misrule, dictatorships or failure to comply with certain international statutes.

Today you’re wearing masks due to COVID-19, wearing those was a political decision that affects you directly, liking it or not. Choose not to comply, you’ll come back and narrate to us if politics still don’t matter. See how abandonment of politics to scums because you’re “fed up” directly affects?

My challenge is for you to reflect and realize, you may be disappointed, even angered by politicians but can’t afford to stop voting to seek to make a difference because if you don’t, their decision shall certainly come to haunt your lives directly and indirectly.

Stability and consistency matters, and you can bring that to bear through your participation. My heart goes out to Russian professionals. This shall happen if WE don’t change our attitudes and actively participate in elections to protect the little democracy we have.
