Man kills his own son to get back at baby mama
Tshepiso Mooketsana of Bobonong has allegedly confessed to killing his five-year-old son Lesego Lesole this past Sunday.
Mooketsana allegedly murdered his son as a way of getting back at his baby mama, Gorata Wendy Lesole who had fallen out of love with Mooketsana.
Unconfirmed reports say the man's woman had over some time convinced herself that the boyfriend was cheating on her and had become fed up, not wanting to continue dating the deceased's father.
It had been a month since the couple had separated and the accused was allegedly finding it hard to accept that he had lost his sweetheart.
Realising that Lesole was not changing her mind about leaving him, Mooketsana came and took little Lesego away this past Sunday and while doing so, is alleged to have openly told the mother that he was going to kill him.
The worried mother then told the police that her baby daddy had taken away their child with threats of killing him. The police began searching for him and he was only found and eventually arrested on Monday.
Sources say at the time of his arrest, the police asked him where the baby was and he pointed to his car. The lifeless body of the little boy was found wrapped in a blanket inside the car.
Confirming investigating the case, Officer Commanding, No. 10 District, Senior Superintendent Meshack Pulenyane said Mooketsana appeared before court the same Monday for the alleged murder of his son.
The police boss said he was not in a position to confirm or deny if the accused openly confessed to killing little Lesego when questioned by the police as investigations are still ongoing.
However, he explained that the mother did tell them that the relationship with Mooketsana had turned sour.
“I am not in a position to go into further details, the matter is with the court now while investigations continue. He will be back in court on the 5th of September,” the police boss said.
Meanwhile, a look into Mooketsana’s life through the lens of his social media accounts suggests that he was a loving father fond of sharing his love for little Lesego.
