THE DIVA: Veronica Kgalalelo Brooks denies she ever dated Bonsan despite popular opinion to the contrary

Veronica Kgalalelo Brooks, aka ‘Bots Diva,’ is at it again with her supposed ‘supernatural powers’ from some of the biggest African spiritualists.

When she announced recently on social media that she was traveling to Ghana a lot of her fans and followers were quick to conclude that she had visited her supposed spiritual father, Nana Kwaku Bonsam.

However, she would later post, “Ga ke ye ko mothong yoo," translated: I'm not going to that person.

The local musician has been on low profile for some time now since giving birth to her daughter. She even took a pause from music. All that time, she had relocated to South Africa where she owns a couple of properties.

Some of Bots Diva's fans believe however, that she was dating the mighty spiritualist and the relationship didn’t work out hence she now refers to him as ‘that person’ on her posts.

Bonsam is popularly known as a Ghanaian witchdoctor and fetish priest. He gained international notoriety when he claimed to put a voodoo curse on the Portuguese footballer Christiano Ronaldo. He is associated with many

African pastors whom he has allegedly given powers. He has also collaborated with local creative, Keitshepile Motseonageng aka ‘Berry Heart’ in a song.

However, The Midweek Sun has since learnt that the Bots Diva is no longer submitting to her 'spiritual father, Bonsam, but has sought a more powerful spiritualist. Just after her return from Ghana, she has shared that she would soon release new music.

Approached for comment, Bots Diva was quick to defend herself.

“I never dated Bonsam as people think and I don’t feel okay with people saying my visits to Ghana are to see him. He is not the only person living in Ghana and he has people he is assisting from Botswana and I’m not one of them,” she said.

She added that Nana is not the only person living in Ghana and that her travels to the west African country should not be associated with him.

“Yes, I recently travelled to Ghana and it was just for my collaborations. I have nothing to do with Nana and people should learn to mind their own business,” she said.

She then talked about her music, explaining that she has been on a break for four years but is now back to the stage and has released a song called ‘Mali.’
