Murder-accused man abusing his parents
Emmanuel Ramotsoko who is the main suspect in the murder of Obuile Nkokomane is alleged to have always been a troublesome boy.
At 18, Emmanuel is said to have abused both his mother Mmapula Ramotsoko and his father Chimbose Senne.
Kgosi Lekgatlhanye Mabua of Dibete village told The Midweek Sun that Senne reported his son to him about three times, saying the boy was abusing him.
“He did come to report and told me that the boy had always been beating him up. We went looking for the boy without success. Then days later, we learnt he had returned to his father's house.
“The father never came to us to tell us that the boy was back home so that we deal with the matter. It was as if he never came to us to complain,” Kgosi Mabua said.
In response, Senne acknowledged reporting his son to Kgosi Mabua for intervention.
“Yes I did report him but nothing was ever done, they never told me that when I see him I should tell them,” Senne responded.
However, Kgosi Mabua feels that the problem with parents in his village is that they are over protective of their children.
“When you tell the parents that their children do this and that, they get upset and are quick to defend their kids. They always say their children are not capable of such, forgetting that children can be very sneaky,” he said.
A close family member of the Ramotsoko family shared that Mmapula has always been praying for the day her son Emmanuel will be jailed for the murder case, saying the mother believes she would finally get to rest.
“Ke tla ikhutsa a tserwe ke mapodisi, ngwana yo o ne a nthobala,” the mother is alleged to have said about the seemingly notorious son.
What the mother was understood to be saying was that his little boy used to have sex with her and she was tired of it.
On first hearing the story of her son and his alleged abuse of his parents, Mmapula agreed to meet The Midweek Sun team for an interview into the matter, but on the team's arrival at her house, the woman changed her mind and was angry we wanted to put his son in trouble.
“Go away, I will not speak to you. People always kill, why do you want to put my child in newspapers? Please go,” she yelled when The Sun crew was already in her homestead and reminding her she had agreed to share her story. No amount of convincing, even by the boy's father, could get Mmapula to open up.
Senne, the boy's father, on the other hand said he was not aware that his Emmanuel had been sexually abusing his mother. 'It is news to me, I believe that only she can talk about that,' he said.
