Boko’s Hospital Safari Of Shock, Awe & Broken Beds

Magatwe a re President Boko visited Marina Hospital and nearly fainted! Not from illness, but from shock at the state of healthcare. Yet standing next to him was Health Minister Hon. Modise, looking as if he had just landed from Mars. Koore le ene he was shocked by what he saw! Some well-known pollical activist associated with the ruling party even expressed shock, saying that the president’s comments on the state of the hospital sounded like a motion of no confidence in the Health minister himself, yet the ame man remains the president’s “favourite.” We ask: Favourite for what? Inaction? President Boko is on record saying he rewards merit. That pollical activists actually wondered how a man in power for over twelve months would act shocked at the state of a hospital a whisper away from his residence. Still no clear healthcare strategy, no pricing regulations, no reforms. Just promises made on the spot none coming to pass. They say minister Modise is a healthcare professional, yet nothing he does shows he is. Gatwe this was his chance to shine, yet he has been dimmer than a candle in the wind. Those not happy with the status quo say if Comrade is serious about saving lives, he should look for a minister who can actually diagnose problems and prescribe solutions; not one still learning the job while 2.3 million citizens wait in the queue.
