Fifth edition of KFX festival this Saturday
With Batswana preparing for a busy festive season filled with major entertainment events, all eyes are turning to Kanye, where the Kanye Festival Xplosion (KFX) is positioning itself as the ultimate destination this Saturday (December 20th). But the stakes are high. On the same day, two other major events are taking place, and they include the Born & Raised Festival and the first ever Pacers Live event in Thamaga. However, organisers of KFX are confident their event will stand out.
Now in its fifth edition, KFX has built a strong reputation for delivering a unique musical experience. The festival has become known for its ability to bring together trending artists, legendary performers and rising local talent under one stage, offering something for every music lover.
“KFX has become synonymous with delivering a distinctive and diverse lineup. This year is no different. We have secured a blend of trending artists, iconic veterans and strong local talent across different genres, ensuring that every musical taste is catered for,” said Managing Director Nthabiseng Rannyena Otloleng. One of the developments to look forward to this year, is that organisers have made practical improvements to the venue. In partnership with the Kanye District Council and Estate Construction, bushes along the Ranaka Road side of Mmakgodumo Gardens will be cleared to create an additional access route. This move is expected to ease traffic congestion and improve safety.
Hospitality services have also been upgraded. Both the VIP and general sections will feature larger and more efficient bar setups. VIP ticket holders will enjoy an enhanced experience, including a dedicated kitchen with a renowned chef preparing meals throughout the event.
KFX’s lineup is another major factor setting it apart from other events happening on the same day. Headlining the festival is hitmaker Mdu, alongside Lekompo star Tribby wa Di Bozza. The lineup also includes DJ Mimi Ramphaleng, DJ Basho Vision, Jackals OneTym, Lerofo, EY Brizzy and Dada Kavino, Ancestral Rituals, Chokoma, 25K from South Africa, and Uncool MC, Charma Gal, Dali Wonga, Jazzwokz, Thukuthela, Thatohatsi and Tracy, Zola 7, and Young Stunna to mention a few.
