This coming December 30 and 31, Kanye and the Southern Region are set to come alive with the return of the second edition of the annual HEYANA Music Festival. Launched in December 2024, the two-day spectacular will kick off on December 30 with the HEYANA Charity Fun Day, a special edition of the festival dedicated to giving back to the community. Running from 10am to 7pm, the charity event will take place at Mmakgodumo Gardens.

According to organisers, the Charity Fun Day promises to be an exciting, family-friendly experience with a strong focus on fundraising and supporting local charitable initiatives in Kanye. Beneficiaries will receive school uniforms, stationery and food hampers, while adults can look forward to a blend of urban and cultural entertainment.

The main festival event will take place on December 31 from 2pm until 6am, featuring a star-studded line-up of local and international musical talent. The event is expected to bring an electrifying atmosphere to Kanye as revellers usher in the new year in style. Acts to look forward to include Ditiro Leero, Dr Vom, Wave Rhyder, Han C, Shaft People, DJ Ngwazi, Boohle, Ricky Lamar, Swailaman, MC Nani, DJ Bistar, Dragie, Kyno, Booster Blazknight, DJ Bunny, Leehleza, and many more.

Beyond the line-up, organisers are committed to delivering a one-of-a-kind festival experience, pulling out all the stops in terms of sound, stage and lighting, courtesy of Colours of Sound. To ensure the safety of patrons and their valuables, local company Vett Security will once again oversee all aspects of event security.

In an interview, event organiser Massie Hule said the line-up was curated in response to public demand for celebrations that continue right into the new year. He added that the team remains committed to creating an unforgettable experience and is excited to share the moment with the community. Hule also reiterated a call to the business community to come on board as partners, noting that the festival remains open to building lasting relationships.
