Miss Universe Botswana 2025 finale this Saturday

 

The Miss Universe Botswana 2025 Grand Finale is set to take place this Saturday at the Adansonia Hotel. Ten young women from across the country will take to the stage to compete for the crown, with the winner slated to represent Botswana at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand later this year.

The event is being coordinated by Gabby Babedi Gosekwang, who described this year’s journey as one of empowerment, elegance, and national pride. “This year we have taken things up a notch,” she explained. “From our impactful bootcamps in Makgadikgadi and South Africa to community engagement initiatives and business expos, it has been a journey of growth and learning for both the contestants and the team behind the scenes.”

Like any major national event, organizing Miss Universe Botswana has not been without difficulties. Gosekwang admitted that the team faced challenges with logistics, securing financial sponsorships, and making sure the event meets the strict international standards of the Miss Universe brand. However, she praised the dedication of everyone involved. “Despite these hurdles, our team has pushed through with passion and ambition. We want to deliver an unforgettable experience for Botswana.”

The grand finale is expected to be a glamorous and spectacular evening. Guests will be treated to “top-class production”, Gosekwang said, showcasing not only beauty but also intelligence and talent. The Top 10 finalists will take part in swimsuit, evening gown, and question and answer sessions, where their confidence, eloquence, and knowledge will be put to the test.

In addition to the main crown, there will be special awards in categories such as Best Tourism Project, Best Investment Project, Best Academic Project, Miss Photogenic, and more. The highlight of the night will be the crowning of Miss Universe Botswana 2025, a moment that will mark the beginning of a new chapter for the winner as she prepares to represent the nation on a global stage.

Preparations are said to be going smoothly. The finalists are already in Francistown where they are taking part in final rehearsals, interviews, and public appearances. “The team is working around the clock to make sure everything from staging to wardrobe to guest experience is flawless,” Gosekwang assured.

The choice of Francistown as the host city has proven to be a success. According to the organizers, the reception has been heartwarming. “Francistown has welcomed us with incredible warmth and enthusiasm,” said Gosekwang. “From the business community to the general public, the support has been overwhelming. We are proud to be closing this journey in the second capital city.”
