KELEBENG RESOLVES FOOTBALL DISPUTE ....as BFA retains All Kasi for July, December tourneys
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) and ALL Kasi have reached a collaborative agreement. Following a successful mediation by the Minister of Sports and Arts, Jacob Kelebeng, both parties have committed to working together, with All Kasi serving as the technical supplier for the BFA over the next year.
In early May, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) made the decision to terminate its three-year partnership with All Kasi, leading to a legal dispute in which AlKasi took the association to court and lost, bearing the costs of the case.
In a bid to mend relations and foster collaboration, Minister of Sports and Arts, Jacob Kelebeng intervened this week, facilitating discussions between the two parties. The outcome of these discussions has resulted in a renewed agreement for the two organizations to work together for a period of one year, particularly as technical suppliers for the upcoming WAFCON and AFCON finals scheduled to take place in Morocco in July and December, respectively.
Minister Kelebeng emphasized the importance of unity between the BFA and All Kasi, especially as Botswana prepares to compete in two prestigious continental tournaments. He highlighted that collaboration is essential for the nation, urging both parties to resolve any misunderstandings and focus on their shared goal of success in international football.
During a recent meeting, BFA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mfolo Mfolo and Mr. Ludo Kemoen of All Kasi reached a consensus to continue their partnership, with All Kasi serving as the technical sponsor for the national teams in the upcoming WAFCON and AFCON tournaments. This agreement marks a significant step forward, as both parties recognize the importance of collaboration in achieving success on the continental stage.
