First Capital Bank Partners with Blood for Life Botswana as Official Banking Partner to Support Lifesaving Donations

 

First Capital Bank has announced its partnership with Blood for Life Botswana (BLB), contributing P50,000 in support of the organisation’s mission to increase voluntary blood donations across the country. As BLB’s official banking partner, the Bank will also provide ongoing support to help strengthen the organisation’s operations and community outreach.

The partnership aligns with First Capital Bank’s 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focus on health, which aims to support impactful initiatives that improve healthcare access and outcomes across Botswana.

“We are excited to support an initiative that quite literally saves lives,” said Hajra Mahomed, Chief of Staff and Head of Marketing at First Capital Bank. “Health is the foundation of any thriving community, and this partnership with Blood for Life aligns with our belief that meaningful change begins with committed, grassroots efforts.”

The funds will go towards enhancing donor outreach, expanding access to blood drives, and rolling out educational campaigns to build a strong culture of regular blood donation. BLB, a volunteer-led organisation, continues to play a critical role in ensuring the availability of blood for those in urgent need, including accident victims, surgical patients, and individuals with chronic conditions.
