Man arrested for sending porn to 15-year-old stepdaughter
A 49-year-old man of Francistown has been arrested for allegedly sending pornography to his 15-year-old stepdaughter while her mother was away at work. The incident happened on Monday during the school midterm break. The girl was in her bedroom when she received a message from her stepfather’s phone.
Thinking it was something normal, she opened the link and was shocked to find it led to pornography. Scared and confused, she locked herself in the house and later told her mother what had happened.
She also said that the suspect had touched her inappropriately several times before, but she had dismissed it, believing he was acting like a parent. The mother did not hesitate to report the matter to the police.
Confirming the matter to The Midweek Sun, Officer Commanding for No.15 District, Senior Superintendent Kabo Badirwang said investigations are ongoing.
He said he could not give more details since a minor is involved but confirmed that the girl received a pornographic link from the suspect’s phone.
