MN Capital group this week announced it will be hosting the much-anticipated Botswana Insurance Summit 2025, scheduled for March 20-21, 2025, in Gaborone.

The conference will be hosted under the theme “Redefining Insurance in Botswana: Innovation, Regulation, and Growth,” According to a statement, the premier event will convene industry leaders, regulators, and innovators from across the continent to explore the future of Botswana’s insurance industry.

The event comes amid recent analysis which indicates that Botswana’s insurance sector is poised for significant growth, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 7% between 2024 and 2028. The expansion is driven by increased gross written premiums and individual spending on life insurance products.

Additionally, Botswana’s insurance penetration rate stands at approximately 3%, surpassing regional peers and highlighting the sector’s comparative strength. “The Botswana Insurance Summit 2025 arrives at a pivotal moment for our industry,” stated Michael Ndinisa, Chief Executive Officer of MN Capital Group, which its subsidiary is MN Capita Botswana.

“With the sector projected to grow at a CAGR exceeding 7% over the next few years, it’s imperative for industry stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration. The active participation of South African firms, such as Hollard, underscores the importance of regional partnerships in driving innovation and sustainable growth in Botswana’s insurance market.”
