Cresta Marakanelo, the leading hospitality group is buoyant that Cresta Botsalo’s refurbishment, which is about complete, will enable the popular hotel to give customers a unique experience this coming holidays. The Palapye-based hotel is undergoing a facelift under Cresta’s revitalisation strategy which has seen some of its hotels getting a makeover.

Lorato Tebogo, the Group Marketing and Communication Manager has noted that the much-anticipated facelift enhances every aspect of the hotel but most importantly preserves its original signature. “As we continue with our See Botswana Differently Campaign, we elevate the customer experience and welcome major refurbishments for many of our properties.

For Cresta Botsalo, its long-enduring legacy of hospitality and service excellence in the Central region is firmly established as a cornerstone of our industry. The refurbishments sought to preserve this timeless legacy, while at the same time elevating it to modern standards. The hotel’s much-facelift will enhance every aspect of the hotel, showcasing a seamless blend of state-of-the-art amenities and modernity yet remaining true to its original charm and architectural allure,” said Tebogo.

In a statement, Cresta, which listed on Botswana Stock Exchange, said the refurbished wing promises to transform the guest experience, creating an inviting atmosphere that caters to the needs of modern travelers while maintaining the hotel’s timeless appeal., “Cresta Botsalo is a key landmark in Palapye, and this investment not only enhances guest experiences but also strengthens the town’s economic landscape,” said Tebogo.

She stressed the strategic refurbishment underscores CML’s commitment to adapting to changing market dynamics and consistently exceeding guest expectations. “The company values feedback from its loyal patrons from group travelers, solo holiday-makers, the government, and the business community, and this project is a direct response to that input,” said Cresta.

Throughout the refurbishment period, which involved improvements to guest rooms, common areas, and amenities, Cresta Botsalo remained fully operational, though with a reduced room inventory at times. 'CML is dedicated to ensuring that guest comfort and satisfaction are the top priorities across its hotels, providing a truly authentic African hospitality experience.'

The refurbishment is part of a broader strategy, following recent room refurbishments at Cresta Thapama, the unveiling of the Cresta Marang garden suites in Francistown, the addition of the 60-room “South Wing” extension at Cresta Mahalapye which opened in 2024 and the new 49-roomed Cresta Grande Jwaneng which opened its doors in July 2024.
