BCP Confident in Securing 31+ Seats

'The BCP is sure about its story when it says it is targeting to win 31 plus seats. The BCP has won seats all over the country without anyone's help. The BCP has won the MP seat in Gaborone, even consecutively, without anyone's help. The BCP won Ramotswa seats without anyone's help. The BCP had won in Selebe Phikwe without anyone's help. The BCP had come second in a number of areas, such Mogoditshane, Lentsweletau, Moshupa, Gabs North, GBN, coming to a striking distance to win in those areas in the subsequent election had it not encountered a temporary setback of working with the moribund UDC in the last election.

The BCP's feat in constituencies that were allocated to it in the UDC in 2019, was a result of a work that has been done over the years. It did not come by chance. No! The BCP would still have won those seats without working with the negatively viewed UDC. In 2019 the UDC was a serious baggage, a high maintenance that cost the BCP the opportunity to win in Mogoditshane, Ramotswa Gaborone, Lentsweletau, and other places, all being areas the BCP was at a striking distance to win them alone.

If one follows closely the BCP growth in Mahalapye West, Nkange, Bobirwa, Palapye, Tswapong South, Selebe Phikwe East, Maun West, and East, which are areas that were managed by the BCP under the UDC and won by opposition for the first time, one would realise that the BCP trajectory in those areas has always been an upward trend. The gap between the BDP and the BDP in those constituencies had closed up. The BCP was already destined to pounce on the now unpopular BDP in those areas.

There are more other areas where the BCP has been building steadily and it is now within the striking distance to have them make the 31 plus, such as Tati East, Tati West, Ftown East, West and South, Mmadinare, Tswapong North, Shashe West, Nata Gweta, Kgatleng West and East, Mahalapye East, Gabane-Mmankgodi, Mmopane-Metsimotlhabe, and a number of Gaborone and Kweneng constituencies. The BCP is so far leading with its campaigns in those areas.

The BCP is not having some wild wet dreams when it says it is targeting 31 plus seats. The BCP has a plan, a good plan to reach and go beyond that target. The BCP message of saving Botswana resonates well with the downtrodden of society. Watch out for the marauding BCP in this election.'

'Let us set the records straights before you mislead those who do not know better. For a record, the BCP did not win Gaborone Central once, but twice. The BCP won Gaborone Central in 2004 and in 2009. The BCP won council seats in Kgatleng East in 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014 on its own, in Lentsweletau in 1999 and 2004.

The BCP won council seat in

Metsimotlhabe in 2004, 2009, on its own.

The BCP won a council in Moshupa in 2004, 2009 and 2014.

The BCP won a seat in Phitshane-Molopo in 2004. The BCP won council seats in Ramotswa from 2001 until 2014.

The BCP has won council seats in Gabane, Mmankgodi, Mogoditshane in 2009, 2014 and 2019. It has won seats in Gaborone since 1999 until 2019.

The BCP has won council seat in Makunda in the Gantsi South. It now leads the Charles Hill Council. Winning council seats in an area, is part of important building blocks for a party to ultimately win a constituency. Passop, the BCP gonna walk over you'
