With a renewed sense of ambition, Mochudi Center Chiefs has set its sights on a top 8 finish in the upcoming Botswana Premier League season. The team, which secured its place in the elite league by purchasing Masitaoka's status, recently emerged victorious in the Moyagoleele tournament, finishing with an impressive clean sheet and scoring a total of 6 goals. The win, according to Magosi, has given them confidence in the team's progress and has fueled their determination to make their mark in the upcoming league.

Mochudi Center Chiefs began their journey in the Moyagoleele tournament by beating Security Systems 3-0 on Sunday morning. The team went on to face Gaborone United in the final and emerged victorious with another 3-0 win, securing the cup.

Although no prize money was awarded, Mochudi Center Chiefs expressed satisfaction with the team's performance in the tournament, especially since the Botswana Premiere League is expected to start on September 21st.

Magosi Vice Chairman, Moreetsi Kediseng expressed satisfaction with the team they managed to assemble in a short period of time. He stated that the team's victory in the tournament had given them hope that they would be able to compete in the Botswana Premiere League next season. He added, "We have been waiting for a long time to return to the elite league and we believe that this team has what it takes to succeed, " he further said winning the tournament has shown them that they are on the right path. "We are now confident in telling our supporters that the team is back and we are here to stay. Our main goal for the upcoming season is to avoid relegation at all costs and target a top 8 finish while we continue to transition as a team."

Kediseng also revealed that they are making progress in investor search. "Our first priority was to find an investor, and although nothing has been finalized yet, we have been able to make progress in this area. As a result, we have been able to purchase players and assemble a new technical team," Kediseng said.

After Mochudi Center Chiefs' impressive 3-0 win against Gaborone United, Assistant Head Coach Seemo Mpatane expressed his satisfaction with the team's progress. He stated that the team had transitioned well and performed admirably against larger clubs like GU and Security Systems. He further added that 90% of the team was new and consisted of loaned players, emphasizing that the team had been working tirelessly to build a strong team from this core. Mpatane went on to say that, while there were still areas that needed work, he was confident that the team was ready to compete in the Botswana Premier League. "When I was approached by Mochudi Center Chiefs, I was made aware of their vision and where they wanted to take the team.

I adapted this vision and molded it to fit my own coaching philosophy, ensuring that I could contribute to the team's success. It's a great honor to be part of such a prestigious team, and I'm happy to be in a position where I can help the team to stay in the Premier League and compete at the highest level " he added
