Rama Church in Molepolole is pleading with Botswana leadership to give them an opportunity to pray for the village of Molepolole that seems to have a dark cloud of evil hovering above.

Prophet Tyson Moyangwa, better known as Dr Prophet Juta from the church, says nothing will remove the 'dark cloud' that seems to be hovering over the village if the nation does not seek God's intervention. He can no longer wake up to the terrifying news of a murder case, passion killings or suicide incidents that happen in the troubled village almost weekly.

Dr Prophet Juta says he has observed over time now that Molepolole, located 50km away from the capital in Kweneng district experiences dark forces and now the entire nation has to do something about it. He believes that the situation is getting worse because no one is doing anything about it. He emphasised that the demise of many lives of the St Engenas ZCC church members from Molepolole should be a wake up call.

His wish is for the Molepolole leadership to grant them an opportunity to allow them to start praying as soon as possible. He told this publication that they will need seven days to conduct these prayers.

“All we want is for the leadership to give us permission to go ahead and pray, as well as give us an open space to use,” he said. He noted that as a church they call upon everyone in the community to come together and resolve this matter.

“We want a joint effort where all different churches come together as well as traditional healers, community leaders and just everyone to come on board to pray,” he said.

He recently engaged the Molepolole community leadership and Councillor Slumber Mokgosi regarding the matter and he is relieved that they also agree that there is a problem and it is about time something is done.

Dr Prophet Juta said that once they have been given permission to do this, he believes that it would be equally good for the whole nation to stand together and pray.

His main concern is that Molepolole has come to be known for heinous crimes as on almost a daily basis, people use guns, knives and other weapons to inflict pain on others. Further that suicidal incidents have also become a norm.

“Molepolole needs God. Spiritually, if bad spirits locate a place and find it weak, more of dark forces are likely to come into that place. This is why the whole country needs to pray together,” he said.

Councillor for Lephaleng Ward in Molepolole, Slumber Mokgosi confirmed that Dr Prophet Juta has engaged him on the issue and concurs that their village needs spiritual intervention.

“As leaders across the country we should draw closer to churches and allow Christians to pray for related issues like those happening in Molepolole,” he said, adding that it is sad for a place to be so well known for a series of painful and tragic events. He reiterated that it is indeed time to look unto God and ask him to heal their village.
