Miss World Botswana 2023

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the 71st Miss World beauty pageant. The exciting news were revealed by the Miss World CEO, Julia Morley. This means that the reigning queen, the beautiful Karolina Bielawska will crown the new queen at one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

New dates of the pageant are yet to be announced, but the event will be held in May. With the announcement, pageant lovers are already looking forward to the production that will showcase the UAE and are predicting that the event might possibly be held at the fascinating Burj Khalifa tower located in Dubai.

This will be the first time that Miss World is held in the UAE, and it will be very interesting to see how the Miss World organisation will choreography a stunning and spectacular show while respecting the culture of the UAE. This might possibly mean that some elements of the pageant such as Swim wear might be removed from the competition, and that if they are part of the competition, finalists might possibly have to cover up.

Meanwhile, the UAE is yet to reveal the queen who will represent the country. Botswana’s very own, Miss World Botswana; Lesego Chombo will be joining close to 100 beauty queens to battle for the top spot at the competition. Chombo and the Miss Botswana team have been hard at work prepping for this big journey.

One thing that the organisers recently did was bag a sponsorship for the queen, in the form of luggage, sponsored by Sebamed. Over the past years, one thing that has been lacking when it comes to the Botswana queens who are sent to Miss World has been the right luggage.

On the weekly Miss Botswana updates, the organisers recently called out to local designers to be a part of this big moment. This year, the organisers are opening up the doors to more designers who wish to dress and accentuate the beauty of Chombo.

In other news, the team will be sharing with Botswana, the progress made by Chombo, and will be updating the nation about the queen's BWAP (Beauty with a purpose Project), documentation of her reign so far, Talent, Fitness, wardrobe, Hair and make-up.

To hear more about Miss Botswana and what she is doing to prep for the Blue Crown, she has a slot on RB2 weekly, in the Mdu show titled, The Takeover with Mdu Tha Party on Wednesdays at 1400HRS, where she gets to interact and update Batswana about what she is up to.
