Following the order from the Debswana First Division South League (DFDSL) committee that Mochudi Center Chiefs should decrease their gate taking charges from P30 to P25, the team has made it categorically clear that they will maintain their charges.

Speaking in an interview this week, the Kgatleng based club chairman, Victor Kobe said there is nothing that is compelling them to decrease their gate takings hence they will not lower their prices.

“We are not going to reduce the gate takings the, the charge will remain to be P30 for all our home games,” Kobe said in an impromptu phone call interview this week.

Kobe said there is nowhere in the rules and regulations of the Botswana Football Association (BFA) where it is stated that clubs should abide by a certain gate talking price.

“There is no where in the regulations where we are demanded to work within a certain price, we face no repercussions because we are not doing anything wrong,” he noted.

Magosi will take on Premier League side in the Orange FA Cup this weekend, the Kgatleng giants will try their luck in the tournament they last won over 10 years ago.

The Kgatleng giants will be playing away from home, however, they look to throw Holy Ghost out of the tournament since the team has been struggling in top flight football recently.

Both teams will bring their best troops to the game and they will look to procede to the next stage of the tournament given the prize money available in the cup.

Orange Botswana through the Orange FA Cup recently renewed its sponsorship with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) for an additional three seasons, valued at P5.138 million. The renewed collaboration will see an increase in the tournament's prize money to a whopping P800,000.00.
