Beaten to a pulp, braids pulled off, then sexed!

- Woman describes her ordeal by an insecure boyfriend

The purported month of love, February, began badly for 29-year-old Kanye woman, Laone Rampaafela as she was beaten to a pulp by her lover who accused her of cheating.

Laone sustained bruises all over her body with a bloodshot right eye that was left shut along with severe facial and head swelling. Laone told The Midweek Sun that her boyfriend, Lucky Kafona (32) is the father of her two children and she has known him for 10 years.

"He accused me of cheating as he did not find me at home. He then concluded that I had gone out to check on another man that evening, yet I had gone to call my mother from the neighbourhood," she said.

Kafona's anger was triggered by arriving to find that Laone was not home and that her phone was ringing unanswered. Upon tracing and locating her, the livid man shoved her into his car and ferried her to the bush.

"He drove to the bush where he kicked me all over the body, strangled me and beat me with a stick," Laone said, adding that he even kicked her on the face until she fainted.

Upon waking up, he gave her his cellphone and ordered her to call her new lover. "I dialed any number that came to my mind thinking he would stop the beating, luckily the calls were not answered," she explained.

Laone said she had plaited long braids, but returned home with uneven short hair as Kafona had forcefully pulled off the braids from her head during the incident. The man then drove her home where he then demanded sex. Laone would then report the matter to the police the next day.

"He always beats me. I never report thinking he will change. I reported him this time and I want him jailed for all these," Laone said.

Family elder, 70-year-old Mmanneke Rampaafela said the injuries on their daughter are brutal and that the boyfriend should be jailed, as it is not the first time he beat up Laone.

The matter is now being handled by Sejelo Police in Kanye, where Station Commander, Superintendent Mogomotsi Matlapeng confirmed the incident and said the investigations had only just begun.
