- Vee says over P150k was stolen during his Last Man Standing show - Police say Vee has not reported the matter to them - Security personnel remain unpaid two months on

Local musician, Odirile Sento, better known as ‘Vee Mampeezy,’ says he got robbed at his ‘Last Man Standing’ show that was held at the national stadium in December last year.

Someone or some people, stole over P150 000 from him.

Vee revealed this on Monday when The Midweek Sun confronted him with allegations that more than two months later he had not fully paid security personnel that was hired for the show.

When asked why he is not doing right by people who provided service to him, Vee chuckled and said, “What service did they provide when I lost money; money that they were supposed to guard? I am busy with investigations. We will soon know what happened."

Pressed further, Vee admitted that he had reported the matter to the police but refused to share the name of the police station handling the case.

Central Police Station commander Matthews Gatang on the other hand said they are not investigating any stolen money case that happened at Vee's December show. "I was there with him until morning, he never reported any missing money to us," Gatang said.

Meanwhile, Vee went on to explain that people always want to tarnish his name unnecessarily. “There was someone I hired to get me security, that person is the one who is supposed to pay them not me.”

Vee said that when he contacted the person he had hired for the security detail, he assured him that he had paid all.

On the other hand, and contrary to what Vee said, some security companies that provided service at his show told this publication that they have been talking to Vee directly and he promised to pay them.

Moemedi Ramontshonyane of Incredible Max K-9 Services is owed P8 000. “We have been calling Vee to inform him of our frustrations, he assured to pay, never has he ever hinted that he paid someone who is supposed to pay us. Why is the story changing now,” he asked?

He added that they did not sign any contract with Vee, but had a verbal agreement that they will be paid on the 11th December 2022, a day after the show.

That did not happen and they have been chasing Vee ever since.

Baemedi Gasemotho of Cower Boys company brought 12 horses to the event and agreement was that he will be paid P1 000 for each horse.

However, he has been given only P4 000, to this day, P8 000 remains.

He has been in contact with Vee and says Vee promised to pay. He added that the person who Vee talks about is always referring them to Vee.

Themba Ngurunyoka of Gilt Security Services is owed P8 700. “I was given P4 000 by that man he is talking about then after following them, Vee sent me P1 000 himself,” he said.

All efforts made to reach the man who is alleged to have been head of security at the show and identified only as 'Zee' proved futile as until press time, his phone rang unanswered.
